Leslie Spit Pix
It was a nice day, so I rode to the Leslie Spit.
Here's where all the pedestrians park.
This "bus" taks people half-way out on the spit. I asked the driver about it, and she said that it runs until Thanksgiving. She doesn't give a talk or anything about the park, but you can ask her questions and she might know the answer. It seems to go down little side trails (I saw it go down one, that might have been the only one it uses).
People go down this road despite the sign. I'm not sure what it's there for, but the road takes you all the way to the end of the spit, bypassing the bridge, and unlike what I remembered before, it goes along an actual road the whole way.
You try taking pictures on a moving bike and have them all come out in focus.
This looks like a beaver lodge to me. There was a sign somewhere showing the first ever picture of a mink on the spit.
Going to the spit during the daytime means you can actually notice and read stuff like this.
These helicopters flew over a couple of times. I also saw old-timey bomber planes (I am guessing) and more modern looking fighter planes.

Your biking adventures are such an inspiration!
Patrick... I was wondering if I could use your "Vegan squash" pic from the vegan cookalong site. It for a vegan.. thing.. online that I'll tell you about if you email me! (it's still a little secret-ish)
Thanks!
